Chełm chalk mine

The chalk mine is one of the most characteristic places in Chełm. Many visitors to this beautiful city, however, most often visit the Chalk Undergrounds only. Nothing unusual. The entrance to them is in the city center. Few people know that you can still admire the view of the entire chalk mine, which is still in operation today.

It is enough to drive a few kilometers outside the city to see the white landscape of the chalk mine. On rainy days, access to the observation deck is very difficult. Possible only by off-road car, tractor or ... by bike!

The entire cement plant covers a huge area, but there is a dirt road around it, which you can easily drive around the entire mine.
